NLPA engages in nonpartisan advocacy against inequities and injustices of immigration systems, practices, and policies.  Please see below for Latinx mental health advocacy resources related to immigration.

Families at risk face challenges and difficult decisions in preparing for the possibility of being separated from one another. This is a list of resources by state provided by the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc.

The list consists of NLPA members who have reported that they provide immigration evaluations and have asked to be added to the list.  This list is for information only.  It is not intended to be a recommendation of any provider. Fly into McAllen International Airport (MFE) — 2500 South Bicentennial Blvd. Suite 103 McAllen, TX 78503 located just 20 minutes from the UTRGV Edinburg campus and 5 minute drive to the Convention Center; or
Fly into Valley International Airport (HRL) — 3002 Heritage Way, Harlingen, TX 78550, located 45 minutes from the McAllen Convention Center.

During Summit, to get to the campus: Shuttles will be available (TBA)
 

Hotel Information

Attendees will be able to select from four different hotels. NLPA has received blocks of rooms for Summit attendees. We recommend each of the hotels for your stay in McAllen, TX. Be sure to book your room early. These hotels offer convenient access to the venue (15–20 minutes away), as well as to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Sunday, October 19 – Optional Community Volunteer Experience

Due to recent changes in administration, there has been limited volunteer opportunities in the South Texas border. In response, we regrettably had to cancel the Sunday volunteer event at the NLPA 2025 Summit, which had been tentatively scheduled to take place on October 19, 2025.
